Late Night TV
Well, maybe it just makes for good television. And good politics. Both clips from The Political Teen. Lighten up, kid. Lighten Up. Clinton really wasn’t the devil. But, you’re really good at going through all the trouble of capturing video and encoding it to post online. There are links to video clips in both posts.
Democratic operative James Carville appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last evening to discuss his book, Alito, and his new sports radio talk show. Carville believes that Alito was nominated to overturn Roe and subsequently, will do. Carville is still used to politics in President Clenis’ administration, where decisions are based […]Today Show Tries to Steer O’Reilly Off Track With Fast Paced Questions (VIDEO)
Bill O’Reilly appeared on the Today show to discuss Alito and wiretapping. In an attempted to catch him off guard, co-host Matt Lauer asked O’Reilly questions in a fast paced way, and boy […]
The Abramoff/Bush Pictures
Who has them? Who shopped them around? Could it be…..? J.A.
Great catch by Think Progress. Over the weekend, Time magazine and the Washingtonian both reported on five photos of President Bush with Jack Abramoff, but neither publication revealed its source. Yesterday, ThinkProgress laid out the case for why the source for the photos was likely Abramoff himself. Last night, our hunch was confirmed […]
Two Sentences. Two Men.
Do you see an issue here? The two certainly seem to be out of line, given the crime vs the sentence. Don’t they? For starters, one of them is the military officer who got no jail time in the death of an Iraqi prisoner.
The Day the Music Came Back to New Orleans
If you like New Orleans. And New Orleans music. This is a “must-watch”. Thanks to the bloggers at NBC News who decided we should be able to watch more of that performance that made up their stories the past couple of nights. This, my friends, is great stuff.
In the rush of live coverage last night, we probably should have offered more of the music from the world-class musicians that assembled near the proposed Artist’s Village. It was an incredible event: a simple raised platform, a few instruments, microphones and amplifiers — and some incredible talent. Harry Connick, Jr. has known some of the artists who assembled yesterday […]
ARMY: Near the Breaking Point?
Perhaps one of the most pessimistic assessments to date.
Now, why is it that Americans think Bush is making us safer when he is literally destroying our military? No wonder Iran is making all those nuclear noises…. they aren’t afraid of Bush because they know we may no longer possess the military means to make good on our threats. This is why the war in Iraq matters. This is why it matters if it was a mistake, it if was based on a lie, if it was […]
Katrina: Digging for the Truth
From the NBC Nightly News blog – some incite into the frustrations facing reporters (and Senators) trying to find the facts.
As Hurricane Katrina approached, who in the Bush Administration knew what, and when did they know it? Getting to the bottom of that question is a world-class exercise in frustration. Take today’s hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee: The Committee released documents showing that the White House situation room received a report at 1:47 a.m. the day Katrina hit, predicting that Katrina would likely lead to severe flooding and/or levee breaching. A couple days later, the president said no one anticipated […]
